Exciting news, I won my first art contest since college. I'm very grateful for the kind words from Lee White, an illustrator who's work I admire a great deal! Per Lee: "Tom's piece is so elegant and simple and hit just the right note. I love the ink lines that make up the tones and think the overall piece is just brilliant!" I'm excited to use my free one month subscription with SVSLearn!
Concept: "PYF! Pay Yourself First! Every time you get some money, it is a good
habit to pay yourself first. Let us say
you receive $20 for your birthday or Christmas.
Before you spend any of it, take a portion of that money and put it in
your Kid’s Club Account. Now you are
paying yourself first and your savings will grow! Try it and see how fast you can grow your
account this year!" FYI, the second sketch below has the Kitsap Credit Union logo on it.
Below, a traditional sketch. The look/feel is pretty different than the above iPad Pro samples. The Apple pencil can't replicate my hand movements 100%. ( at this point in the game, anyway....)
After two weeks of playing with my iPad, I went back to my traditional sketchbook. I must say, it's so much easier in many ways to do a drawing/watercolor in the old school way. Those that say digital art is easy, I wish I was on your team! It's not easy!!
