The Children's Writer's Guild

The Children's Writer's Guild did a nice thing today and posted my sketch ( red nose dog thing ) on their Instagram account.  I got a lot of new eyes on my account and followers.  Thank you for the free promotion.  It was a nice surprise and great way to start the morning!

Illustration noodling blues

So, I've been working on this illustration way too much over the last two weeks.  I'm not happy with it, but I'm stopping anyway.  I just got in a never ending loop of not being happy with it.  Ugh.  I'm calling it good and moving on.  I worry that my "natural" style is too old timey????  In order to make a living, I may have to change it up, create a "current" money making style?  I don't know.  For now, I'll just keep on doing what I like to do....

Bremerton Symphony Orchestra featured my artwork!!! I'm very impressed, to say the least!

The show was amazing!  James Knauer hit it out of the park!  Congrats!

KITSAP SUN: Notes from the Podium by Maestro Alan Futterman for Bremerton Symphony Orchestra's presentation of Celtic Dreams, March 17 2018, 2pm, BHS PAC.
Please share!
The Bremerton Symphony are joined by acclaimed violinist Sophie Lee for this St. Patricks Day program including an Irish Medley arranged by our own Maestro Futterman, along with the premier of an original symphonic work, "Sometimes It Rains" by James Knauer based on a children's book by Paul DuFresne and illustrated by Tom Shannon.
