Adobe Sketch ( Test )

I've had my iPad Pro for about two months.  I've mostly been using Procreate but have switched over to Adobe Sketch once I learned that it accepts Kyle's Brushes.  Total game changer.  Below, a few doodles, trying to get up to speed...

O B’Gosh and B’Gorrah! It’s Shamrock Smoothies for St. Patrick’s Day!

Below a traditional watercolor comp.  Note, it's not a finished piece.

Contrast to the above artwork, a 100% digital watercolor comp.  This one is finalized.

WINNER OF THE HALLOW-INKTOBER CONTEST!

Exciting news, I won my first art contest since college.  I'm very grateful for the kind words from Lee White, an illustrator who's work I admire a great deal!
Per Lee: "Tom's piece is so elegant and simple and hit just the right note. I love the ink lines that make up the tones and think the overall piece is just brilliant!"

I'm excited to use my free one month subscription with SVSLearn!

Kids Club Winter

Concept: "PYF!    Pay Yourself First!   Every time you get some money, it is a good habit to pay yourself first.  Let us say you receive $20 for your birthday or Christmas.  Before you spend any of it, take a portion of that money and put it in your Kid’s Club Account.   Now you are paying yourself first and your savings will grow!  Try it and see how fast you can grow your account this year!"

FYI, the second sketch below has the Kitsap Credit Union logo on it.

Below, a traditional sketch.  The look/feel is pretty different than the above iPad Pro samples.  The Apple pencil can't replicate my hand movements 100%. ( at this point in the game, anyway....)

Traditional sketchbook

After two weeks of playing with my iPad, I went back to my traditional sketchbook.  I must say, it's so much easier in many ways to do a drawing/watercolor in the old school way.  Those that say digital art is easy, I wish I was on your team!  It's not easy!!

New style test #2

New style test #1

I'm always interested in factory settings when producing art.  I ask myself, "How can I produce art with the same look/feel multiple times with any given prompt and be quick about it?!" Hence, test #1 below...
